YOUTHadelphia gives Philadelphia teens the opportunity to build leadership skills through philanthropy and civic engagement. It is the Youth Advisory Committee of the Philadelphia Foundation's Fund for Children.
YOUTHadelphia members are high school students from a wide range of Philadelphia neighborhoods and schools. Twice each year, YOUTHadelphia decides which nonprofits to fund based on the priorities the teen members have set.
Meetings are held Thursdays after school at The Philadelphia Foundation under the direction of two adult facilitators. Dinner and tokens for transportation are provided for every meeting.
The Fall session meets from September through December. The Spring session meets from January through June.
