Types of Grants Available

We offer several grant funding streams. Nonprofits are required to take the Grants Eligibility Wizard and then are strongly encouraged to carefully read the criteria for each specific grant type before applying.

Discretionary Grants

The first step for any nonprofit interested in a discretionary grant from The Philadelphia Foundation is to take our Eligibility Wizard.

This five-minute quiz will give you specific information on which of our grants your nonprofit might qualify for and lead you to the applications for each of those grants.

Completing the wizard is an essential first step in seeking nonprofit funding.

Take Our Grants Eligibility Wizard

An organization will not receive funding through The Philadelphia Foundation’s discretionary grant program if it limits those who can be employees, volunteers, board members or receive services based on their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other legally protected characteristics.
