Events for Nonprofits

We offer two types of events for nonprofit staff and board members to support our work strengthening nonprofits.

Capacity Building Workshops

We sometimes offer workshops on topics of interest to staff members at nonprofit organizations. To join the email list for future workshops, subscribe to e-news and select “Receive information about nonprofit workshops.”

Information Sessions

Information Sessions are typically held at 3 p.m. on the last Tuesday of the months of January, February, March, April, May, June, September and October. Registration is required as this schedule is subject to change.

All sessions are held in the offices of The Philadelphia Foundation, 1234 Market Street, Suite 1800, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Get interactive directions.

To get the most out of the session, please complete the Eligibility Wizard before attending.

For 2017 grantmaking, General Operating Support grants are open only to those who received a General Operating Support grant through The Philadelphia Foundation’s discretionary process any time during 2016. Applications will be accepted only beginning Feb. 13, 2017 and no later than April 14, 2017.

For 2017 grantmaking, Organizational Effectiveness grants are open only to those who received an Organizational Effectiveness grant through The Philadelphia Foundation’s discretionary process any time during 2016. Applications will be accepted only beginning May 5, 2017 and June 30, 2017.
