Scholarship Funds

Establishing a Scholarship Fund is a meaningful way to memorialize a loved one or honor someone who has made a special difference in your life. Helping others achieve their educational dreams is a popular way to establish your own legacy. You can establish a scholarship for any level of study from pre-school through post-graduate.

Businesses and organizations can establish scholarships with us to allow giving in their name while we handle the financial management and award process.

We encourage scholarships to support students at a school in the Greater Philadelphia Region or regional students who are attending schools elsewhere.

Flexible Options

Through the Philadelphia Foundation, you can highly customize the scholarship’s purpose.

We offer four different scholarship types. Options include funding learning at a specific school or for a particular major, being part of a committee that reviews applicants, and having us manage the entire process from creating applications to sending payment.

All of our scholarship funds are endowed, meaning they are distributed in a way that allows them to provide scholarships forever.

Sample Fund Agreements for Endowed Funds

Advised Scholarship Fund Agreement – Committee actively recommends recipients.
Designated Fund Scholarship Agreement – College or school selects recipients based on established criteria.
Managed Scholarship Fund Agreement – We administer awarding of scholarship: marketing, application and coordinating committee that accepts recipients.
Organizationally Assisted Scholarship Fund Agreement – We review criteria with school or college to make sure candidates meet criteria.
