Nell Booth

Nell Booth joined The Philadelphia Foundation as Chief of Staff in January 2016.

Prior to joining the Foundation, she was Managing Associate at Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates, a retained executive search firm specializing in higher education executive recruitment for colleges and universities, with additional practices in independent school and nonprofit recruitment.

Booth previously spent a decade as the President’s executive assistant and chief of staff at Bryn Mawr College, where she served on the senior cabinet, participated in institutional strategic planning and decision-making, and acted as the President’s liaison for internal and external constituencies. She worked closely with the Board of Trustees, and was named acting Secretary of the College in her final year.

Early in her professional career, she worked in fundraising at Harvard Divinity School and as a researcher at the Washington, DC-based research firm, Investor Responsibility Research Center.

Booth earned her bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and a master’s degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania. She moved to Philadelphia in 1991 and is a proud member of the Leadership Philadelphia Core Class of 2007.
