Philadelphia Foundation Announces 2026 Edna W. Andrade Fund Grantees

Fund awards $80,000 to six Greater Philadelphia museums and arts organizations supporting local visual artists

PHILADELPHIA (July 13, 2026)Philadelphia Foundation, a leading driver of philanthropic impact in the Greater Philadelphia region for over a century, today announced the 2026 grantees of the Edna W. Andrade Fund, awarding funding to six museums and nonprofit arts organizations supporting visual fine artists from the Greater Philadelphia area. The Edna W. Andrade Fund champions the visual artists of Greater Philadelphia, supporting exhibitions and projects that amplify the work of local artists working in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and sculpture.

“The arts are central to the vitality of our region, and the artists being celebrated through these grants are a testament to the extraordinary creative talent that calls Greater Philadelphia home,” said Pedro Ramos, President & CEO, Philadelphia Foundation. “The Edna W. Andrade Fund is a reminder of how thoughtful philanthropy can create lasting opportunity for individual artists and the communities that surround and sustain them.”

The 2026 grants support a range of exhibitions and projects, from a major retrospective celebrating a beloved Philadelphia painter to a centennial tribute honoring a printmaking legend, reflecting the Fund’s commitment to supporting a diversity of artistic talent rooted in Greater Philadelphia.

The Fund’s approach aligns with Philadelphia Foundation’s century-long commitment to creating lasting change through strategic partnership and sustained focus. By maintaining consistent support for the development of the visual arts, we help ensure that creative expression remains a vital component of Philadelphia’s civic life and cultural identity.

2026 Grantees

Frances M. Maguire Art Museum, Saint Joseph’s University: The grant will fund Force/Field: The Art of James Brantley, an exhibition of work by the Philadelphia-based artist.

Institute of Contemporary Art – Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania: The grant will support the residency and exhibition of Squirrels (working title) by Philadelphia artist Wilmer Wilson IV.

Multiple Cultural Venues: The grant will be used to present Sam Maitin@100, a centennial celebration of the Philadelphia printmaker and painter Sam Maitin.

Rowan University Museum of Contemporary Art: The grant will support an exhibition of work by Philadelphia artist Eileen Neff.

The Print Center: The grant will fund Ron Tarver: The Long Ride Home, an exhibition of work by Philadelphia photographer and printmaker Ron Tarver.

Woodmere Art Museum: The grant will be used to present Listen with Your Eyes: A Moe Brooker Retrospective, celebrating the life and work of the Philadelphia painter and educator.
