Pedro A. Ramos Named to Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2025 Power 100

Philadelphia Foundation is proud to announce that President & CEO, Pedro A. Ramos, has been recognized as one of the region’s most influential leaders in the Philadelphia Business Journal‘s 2025 Power 100. This prestigious list, selected by the Journal’s editorial staff, celebrates the individuals who have made the most significant impact on Greater Philadelphia during 2024.

Under Pedro’s leadership, Philadelphia Foundation has strengthened the social, economic, and civic vitality of our region through strategic investments, meaningful collaborations, and high impact affiliates awarding $64.6 million in grants in 2024.

As co-chair of the Civic Coalition to Save Lives, Pedro has been instrumental in advancing evidence-based gun violence intervention strategies that contributed to a remarkable 40% reduction in gun violence in Philadelphia last year. This cross-sector partnership has distributed over $1.5 million to support intervention programs and educated more than 1,500 stakeholders on proven practices to reduce gun violence.

In addition, under Pedro’s leadership, Philadelphia Foundation, in partnership with the Lenfest Institute for Journalism, the William Penn Foundation, and a diverse set of media partners, launched Philly Gives in December 2024, a community-driven fund that raised $650,000 for nine selected nonprofits and increased awareness of the critical work this region’s nonprofits are doing on behalf of our most vulnerable neighbors.

Join us in celebrating this recognition and Pedro’s unwavering commitment to creating lasting positive change in our community.
