On the Table Philly Surveys

On the Table Philly brought over 3,000 people together across the region at over 150 host locations on May 23, 2017. It was the first time the national initiative was piloted in Philadelphia, bringing together residents together in small groups for mealtime conversation about how to make their communities better places to live, work and play.

On Nov. 8, 2018, about 5,000 people gathered at more than 400 tables for the second On The Table Philly.

The 2019 conversations took place on Oct. 17 and drew close to 6,000 participants. Philadelphia is among eleven community foundations nationally to hold the conversations in 2019. We will post results from the 2019 survey in early 2020.

Sponsored by the Philadelphia Foundation and supported through The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the initiative was designed to engage residents in an open dialogue and inspire new solutions to strengthen communities.

We are pleased to share the outcomes of 2017, 2018 and 2019 conversations with the goals of continuing to engage our region’s residents and to elevate their voices, perspectives and commitments.
