The Conversations

Gatherings took place throughout the region. The participants indicated they are already highly involved in their communities, with 77% saying they are “very” or “somewhat” involved in neighborhood activities; 62% saying they worked with people in their neighborhood to fix or improve something in the past year; and 75% saying they always vote in local elections.

One goal for the day was to extend individual networks. Fully 85% said the other people at their conversation were either mostly people they did not yet know, or an equal mix of people they did and didn’t know.
