A brief presentation to demystify National Service, share how some companies are supporting National Service; followed by a Q&A.

The Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service is the lead convener of Philadelphia’s National Service Taskforce, a committee organized to explore expanding opportunities and decreasing barriers to service years. In Philadelphia, ~2,500 service year members serve in almost 30 programs annually—including City Year, PowerCorpsPHL and AmeriCorps VISTA.
