Aldustus (A.J.) Jordan is an experienced corporate community relations executive with wide-ranging leadership roles in the philanthropic and non-profit sectors.  He currently serves as Head of Community Stewardship and President of the Vanguard Group Foundation and oversees Vanguard’s corporate philanthropy and employee volunteerism strategy to increase the company’s global impact.  Prior to joining Vanguard, A.J.  served as the Head of Community Relations for the Wells Fargo Foundation, one of the largest corporate foundations in the country where he led a national team of corporate social impact leaders who implemented strategic philanthropic initiatives, inspirational employee engagement programs and authentic partnerships with community stakeholders.

A.J. began his career as a social worker and public education advocate.  Among his leadership roles in the private sector, A.J. helped implement an award-winning signature community relations initiative for a global Philadelphia based Fortune 500 hospitality company.  He also served as a government relations leader for one of the largest Medicaid healthcare companies in the country where he partnered with elected officials to increase funding for expanded health care services for children and families in marginalized communities.

A.J. has received numerous awards for his community service in the City of Philadelphia including The Salvation Army’s Doing the Most Good Award, City Year Philadelphia Idealist of the Year Award, The Philadelphia Tribune Most Influential Leader Award and the Philadelphia Business Journal Minority Business Leader Award.  He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Social Policy and Practice and is a proud husband and father of two daughters.
